As part of the European Space Agency (ESA) initiatives that support the use of space as a context for STEM education, the National Space Academy is pleased to offer this FREE day of CPD around satellite technology. The workshop will be hosted by RAL Space and the Satellite Applications Catapult and delivered by the National Space Academy on ESA’s behalf, following the successful launch of ESA’s satellite Alphasat last July.

PROGRAMME

0900-0930 – Arrival and refreshments
0930-1015 – Welcome presentation from ESA
1015-1215 – National Space Academy teacher masterclass focused on satellite applications
1215-1300 – Tour of RAL Space satellite testing facilities
1300-1345 – Lunch
1345-1415 – Presentation from ESERO-UK (the UK Space Education Office)
1415-1500 – Concluding presentations, action planning and evaluation

The course is free and we are also offering a £75.00 bursary to the first 15 teachers that book onto the course towards the cost of travel and other expenses.
