Curriculum Question Time

Date: Tuesday 5th November 2013

Time: 02:30 PM to 05:30 PM

Location : Institute of Education

What will young people need to cope and flourish throughout their lives with advancements in technology, growing ecological demands on the planet’s resources and vast changes in the world of work? How can the science curriculum we teach in schools provide the appropriate knowledge and skills for those who will become adults from 2020 onwards?

Come along and air your views, debate your points and hear the ideas of teachers, examiners, curriculum developers and educators on our new National Curriculum for Science. We are delighted to have Professor Paul Black (King’s College London/Physics), Annette Smith (ASE/SCORE), Dr Peter Canning (Pearson but representing all the Awarding Bodies), Dr Colin Osborne (Chemistry) and Ann Fullick (Biology) and Brian Cartwright(OfSTED) as our panel members for Curriculum Question Time. The panel will be chaired by Dr Chris Harrison (Chair-elect ASE).

If you have a question you would like tabled please send it in advance to Chris Harrison christine.harrison@kcl.ac.uk.
