- Practical Action Resources
We have come across two great new FREE resources from Practical Action. Their image gallery is a collection of images from developing countries divided into topics including transport, climate change, farming and recycling. Each image is embedded in a word doc so is easy to cut and paste and comes with a brief description.

- Science Learning Centre East of England
The Science Learning Centre East of England provides relevant, innovative CPD for all those involved in science education across the East of England region.
The Science Learning Centre East of England is run by the University of Hertfordshire in partnership with the ASE (Association for Science Education), Hertfordshire LEA and SETPOINT Hertfordshire. These partners draw on the expertise of organisations across the region to bring the latest advancements in science to teachers and technicians
- Sustainability issues in science and design and technology
The second resource has been developed for the 14-19 years engineering diploma in collaboration with the Royal Academy of Engineering. It consists of eight practical activities students carry out which raise their awareness and understanding of how important sustainability issues are in engineering. They can also be adapted to look at sustainability issues in science and design and technology so please do take a look.
- Teaching Video prizes
For teachers of 13-18 year olds to upload videos of them teaching - for students to revise, or other teachers to see their best ideas. Prizes of around £2000 a month and £100,000 at the end!

Geology Matters shows images of a wide range of fossils, rocks and minerals found within museum collections in the Black Country.
