Achieving Outstanding Science lessons
23rd September 2014

This FREE event, open to members and non-members of ASE, will give science teachers a range of ideas and resources to try out in the classroom. Delivered by practising secondary teachers (from a range of schools) who all achieve outstanding graded lessons, this workshop style session will allow an open discussion about engaging science activities and the essential elements of an outstanding lesson.

Free public lecture in Astronomy (Liverpool)

This year’s free public lecture in astronomy is called “Happy Landings!? Spacecraft Landings on Titan and Comet C-G” by John Zarnecki, Professor of Space Science at the Open University. This event takes place in Liverpool City Centre and starts at 5.30pm on Wednesday 15th October.

The Future of Outdoor Learning in a Changing World

The Real World Learning Network explores and shares successful approaches to learning outside the classroom. The Network is hosting a Conference, taking place from 6th-8th November 2014 at FSC Castle Head in Cumbria to demonstrate a new model for outdoor learning.
