Bloodhound Supersonic Car

The Institution of Mechanical Engineers invites you to a reception, kindly sponsored by David Rees AM, to celebrate the launch of their Bloodhound project.

The Bloodhound project is a unique rocket and jet powered vehicle capable of achieving 1000mph. The project, with the Institution of Mechanical Engineers as its educational sponsor has been designed to inspire young people to pursue careers in science, technology, engineering and mathematics. Now we are bringing the car to Wales and would like to enthuse you too.

On the 24 September between 12:00 and 14:00 a full size model of the Bloodhound car will be on display outside the Senedd. Inside will be the opportunity to meet the designers and engineers behind the project. We will be hosting a competition to see who can get their car to go the fastest. The competition winners will receive 50 model cars and a pair of VIP tickets to Formula Student at Silverstone.
