Universe in the Classroom CPD
27th March 2014

Time: 10:30 – 14:30
We are inviting 100 selected schools to take part in the Universe in the Classroom project led by Cardiff University School of Physics and Astronomy. Our aim is to improve science skills in primary schools across Wales by handing out free astronomy-based resources and teacher training sessions on how to use them.

As part of the project we will provide schools with a range of free astronomy education tools; a Universe-in-a-Box toolkit nd accompanying hands-on activity book (+40 science activities), an inflatable Earth Ball and accompanying activity book, and a children’s storybook called “Where is Spacey’s Planet?”

I would like to invite your teachers to attend one CPD training day at Cardiff University during which they will receive the resources, have the opportunity to test the activities and ask any questions about the subject matter to the department’s staff
