Prepare Your Students For A Career In Stem – Careers Event Invitation
Date: Thursday 26th to Friday 27th June 2014
Time: 04:51 PM to 04:51 PM
Location : National Science Learning Centre, York, YO10 5DD
Cost : £465.00 (ENTHUSE awards available)
This event will provide an overview of the changes in careers education and provide guidance on the careers provision that schools now have the responsibility to provide. We will hear from employers about what makes young people employable in the current marketplace and where students fail in the application process. Current teachers will demonstrate classroom practice that they have used to encourage students about STEM careers and careers experts will be on hand to explain the different external organisations that can be used to promote STEM careers in schools and colleges.
As a result of attending this definitive careers event, you will leave with a network of contacts for both careers education and industry input which will support you once back in the classroom. You will also gain a greater understanding of the progression routes available to your students.
ENTHUSE bursaries are available to support participation of teachers or careers advisers from state-funded schools.
