ASE Section Meeting

Ideas and Support for the new Primary Science Curriculum

29th January 2013, 4.30 till 6pm

Hosted by Thornhill Community Academy, Dewsbury WF12 0HE

A chance for primary science teachers or science co-ordinators to gather ideas and resources for changes to the new primary curriculum.

This FREE CPD, open to all, will include an introduction from Zoe Compton, Leeds University and will then lead into small workshops and networking groups.

The activities are all based on feedback from primary teachers and will focus on energy and electricity, living things and the environment, rocks and soils, in particular fossils; evolution and inheritance, and earth and space. There will be lots of teaching ideas and resources available to take away and some ideas of easy to manage experiments that can be built into schemes of work.
