“See SAW” is a unique collection of poems and artwork from Norfolk schoolchildren inspired by science, published following the very first Science, Art and Writing (SAW) project. The SAW initiative (www.sawtrust.org) breaks down traditional barriers between the arts and sciences. It uses images from science as a starting point for scientific experimentation, art and creative writing and in doing so stimulates creativity and scientific curiosity. Children realise that science and the arts are interconnected – and they discover new and exciting ways of looking at the world.
“This work fires the creative process and makes connections between science and the arts in the children’s minds.”
Ken Holbeck, Head Teacher
