Following our experience with the (now curtailed) introduction of the new curriculum in primary schools and the removal of the Science SATs at Key Stage 2 in England ASE is concerned about the perceived importance of science in all school curricula at all stages. 

We therefore support the amendment to the Academies Bill which calls for new academies to follow the National Curriulum in science, mathematics, information technology and English.
