New GCSE courses - we need your views - complete this
questionnaire
GCSE 2006-2007 Questionnaire
The National Advisers and Inspectors Group (NAIGS)
of the ASE is undertaking an information gathering exercise
following comments from science departments about the
implementation of the new GCSE courses. Early feedback
informed a session at the recent ASE Annual Conference.
We now need views from a wider audience in order to
identify the key messages and other issues that need
to be highlighted and, where necessary addressed. The
outcomes will be posted on the ASE Website. Whilst NAIGS
is sensitive to workload for colleagues, we believe
that your comments need further exploration through
this questionnaire in order for us to feedback your
views to QCA, DfES, Exam boards and other bodies who
have an influence on the new programmes and their implementation.
Thank you to all those who have submitted a questionnaire
and / or took part in the session in Birmingham. We
would encourage everyone else to complete the questionnaire
so that we have some firm evidence of what has gone
well and what needs to be improved. All responses will
be held in complete confidence and individual forms
will be treated as confidential.
We would be grateful if you could return your completed
questionnaire by 28 February 2007 at the latest.
Thank you for your co-operation in this.
