- The Great Bug Hunt Returns for 2016
This competition for Primary Schools encourages pupils to get outside to learn more about living things and their habitats and to use the outdoor classroom. Simply identify a local habitat, get the pupils to explore and discover the minibeasts (bugs) that live there, draw them and record their findings – it’s that easy!
- ASE Annual Conference 2017: Call for Proposals
Have you got an idea that you would like to share with science teachers? You could showcase new resources, support colleagues with the latest subject knowledge or share advice for leadership, planning and the curriculum. Everyone is welcome to submit asession idea. The Conference is an ideal opportunity to present new and exciting ideas to fellow science educators. Last year we hosted over 400 lectures, workshops, lab sessions and breakouts and had almost 3000 visitors.

We're looking for volunteers for a new school-based research project on the potential use of Google Expeditions in secondary science and geography.

Science Teacher Education (STE) is an online publication for all concerned with the pre-service education, induction and professional development of science teachers. We are looking for an enthusiastic editor to maintain and develop the quality of the journal content.

We are delighted to announce the winner of the Scholarship is Douglas Napolitano-Cremin. Doug is Head of Science at Ashmole Academy in London. He will be flying out to Nashville next week
