ASE Chair judges Chinese International Science Contest

Between 20 and 23 December 2012, Liz Lawrence, the Chair of ASE, attended the second International Teenager Science and Technology Practice Contest in Guangzhou, China. The purpose of the visit was to confirm ASE's involvement, along with the University of Bradford, represented by John Baruch, in working with the local organising committee to develop this event. The contest involved teams of students from across China plus 5 British teenagers in a range of scientific and technological challenges which culminated in a spectacular closing ceremony at which the formal memorandum of agreement was signed. A fuller account of the event will be appearing in EIS Extra soon.
