Highlights from ASE's Annual Conference

The atmosphere on the third day of the ASE Annual Conference was buzzing with excitment as crowds poured in for another day of inspiring science education talks, workshops and special events.

Five-time Olympic gold medallist Sir Steve Redgrave (picture 1 below), accompanied by Greg Foot and Professor Hugh Montgomery, launched the Wellcome Trust's In the Zone experiment kits for schools.

Meanwhile, Dr Hal Sosabowksi (picture 3 below), at the conference courtesy of ASE's Gold Partner OCR, wowed the crowds with his practical chemistry demonstrations.

At an Honorary Members' Lunch the ASE'S past and present (picture 2 below) chairs met up.

Later in the day the Presidential Address by ASE's new president Professor Robin Millar (picture 4 below) proved very popular.
