This section provides notes on science lessons demonstrating effective inclusion of students with special educational needs. Effective use of digital cameras, rocket projects and even surgical gloves full of toothpaste are just some of the ideas included.

What you get

Looking through these may provide ideas and inspiration applicable in a range of teaching environments. It is worth looking at the approaches taken with the students and considering why they were effective. The Inclusive Science and Special Educational Needs Project has provided the opportunity for schools to communicate and share their good ideas. These case studies have come from various school visits made by the Project Officer in the last year. The teachers involved must be thanked for allowing us visit their schools.
