A one-day course for teachers and technicians Practical procedures for pupils using conventional equipment are often time-consuming and left out of teaching, consequently lowering pupil expectations of secondary school science. Small-scale chemistry is quick, saves on chemicals and offers variety in presentation.

Faraday Challenge Day at the Rutherford Appleton Laboratory

Faraday Challenge Days are part of a nationwide scheme run by the Institute of Engineering and Technology. The one day STEM activity is designed for teams of six students in Year 8 (ages 12-13). The students will research, design and make prototype solutions to tough engineering problems.
