Europe's largest science education conference is back

#ASEConf2022 will kick off in the afternoon on Wednesday 5th January with a programme designed specifically for early career teachers and trainees, followed by a drinks and nibbles networking opportunity in the evening. This programme is available exclusively to ASE Early Career and Trainee members. Not a member yet? Thursday 6th through Saturday 8th January will be filled to the brim with sessions for primary and 11-19 educators, a dedicated Post-16 and Technicians programmes, twilight sessions for those involved in teachers’ professional learning, as well as our ever-popular series of Frontier Science lectures, providing opportunities to update your knowledge on cutting edge science. As always, there will be networking opportunities on each day, including our Members Reception  and Street Food and music social on the Thursday evening, and Conference Dinner on the Friday, as well as a fantastic exhibition running throughout the conference, packed with resources, ideas, equipment and giveaways from key partners.

We are delighted to be able to organise a face to face exhibition which will take place inside the venue in January 2022.


Following a day full of science education insights, we invite delegates to unwind and join us for a variety of social and networking opportunities.

School's Exhibition

Friday 7th January from 9am until 12pm. Schools from all sectors of education are invited to present a science project happening in their classrooms or clubs.

Travel and Accommodation

A variety of hotels near Sheffield Hallam University are available just in case you need a place to stay for the duration of the conference.

Virtual Conference Timetable

All conference participants are strongly encouraged to use Sched throughout the conference, which you can view below, as session details will be updated in real-time and the app can easily be accessed from all smartphones.
