With ASE Annual Conference 2019 just four weeks away we wanted to see if we could tempt you to join us in January in Birmingham for free CPD, some twilight sessions or our new science fair. We recognise that it can be tough getting out of school for subject-specific development, but there are lots of varied opportunities. If you cannot get out of school for a whole day, or afford the cover, there are still plenty of ways to attend the ASE Annual Conference 2019. Thursday Twilight 10 January 3-7pm From only £25 Choose from over 40 sessions to attend across primary, secondary and post-16/FE. The Thursday Twilight programme includes updates from awarding bodies, practicals from CLEAPSS and SAPS, augmented reality in the primary classroom, and much more. Explore the full twilight programme. Free CPD opportunities Register for a Free Exhibition-only ticket and you can access the resources, ideas and programme of CPD sessions packed into the Conference Marquee on Thursday, Friday & Saturday. Family Science Fair 12 January 9am-15.00pm On Saturday 12 January, science communicator extraordinaire, Jon Wood, will be leading a team of scientists to offer fun, inspiring and intriguing hands-on activities. This is the perfect excuse to bring the family, as you can explore the resources on offer from our exhibitors while being entertained. Register for a Free Exhibition-only ticket in advance (children under 18 do not need to be booked in advance but must be accompanied by an adult at all times). Schools’ Exhibition 11 January 9am-12.30pm Do you have an idea from your teaching that you could share as a poster/table display? If so, register to take part in the Schools’ Exhibition on the Friday, and you can get a bursary from ASE to cover one-day at the conference. For more details email conferences@ase.org.uk |
