To be eligible to apply for RSciTech you must: Be an ASE member
Have either, a relevant qualification at QCF Level 3 (show examples*)
e.g. NVQ Level 3, Vocational Qualifications Level 3, GCE AS and A Level or Advanced Diplomas. A technician who holds the LATA NVQ at level 3 is likely to meet the criteria for the award.
OR, have a combination of work-based experience and other qualifications.*
*Those with a qualification at QCF level 3, or with less than 50% course content in science, are required to typically have at least two years relevant experience. OR If you do not meet the above criteria, you will normally need four years relevant and demonstrable experience.
Be able to demonstrate the following key competencies:
- Application of knowledge and understanding
- Personal responsibility - Interpersonal skills
- Professional practice
- Professional standards
Agree to an annual CPD review
Agree to the Code of Conduct of the licensed body (ASE) 

To be eligible to apply for CSciTeach you must have:
ASE membership
An Honours level qualification, with a minimum of 50% of course content in science
Four years experience of teaching science following QTS (or equivalence) including additional responsibilities over the past two years
A Masters level qualification in education or be able to demonstrate equivalence through experience
Meet the required competence standards and be able to demonstrate your impact on science teaching and learning

To be eligible to apply for RSci you must:
Be an ASE member
Hold a QCF Level 5 qualification. For example a Foundation Degree, Diploma of Higher Education (DipHE) or Higher National Diploma (HND)
Be able to demonstrate the following key competencies:
- Application of knowledge and understanding
- Personal responsibility
- Interpersonal skills
- Professional practice
- Professional standards
Agree to an annual CPD review
Agree to the Code of Conduct of the licensed body (ASE)
