How confident do you feel in delivering the Required Practicals for GCSE Science? How do you set them up so that the students of all abilities, can gain the most from them? Have you identified the key points the students must understand from each practical and can you make each one a significant part of the learners' understanding of the underlying concepts?
This workshop aims to address these questions with separate ‘hands on’ sessions for each of the 3 sciences. You will be able to chose two to attend during the morning. There will be a keynote to set the scene based on ASE’s Good Practical Science : making it happen project, which looks at planning and progression in practical work.
In addition when you book you can select a free publication (not available for trainees). There will also be pastries when you arrive and also a small exhibition of suppliers.
