This is a CPD session covering careers related learning in a primary setting. In 2017 the Government launched its Careers Strategy which highlighted the importance of careers and work related learning at an early age. The session also covers relevant links to the OFSTED framework.

The session includes both theory and practice with practical examples from Beverley St Nicholas Primary School who recently achieved the nationally recognised Award, Career Mark (CM), in careers related learning. The school will share some of their journey. The practice resulting from the CM in the school, resulted in tangible impact on pupil aspiration together with impact on science and cultural capital. The school claiming that this has become what they all do within the community.

An optional tour of the displays/resources in the school will be available after the session.
