ASE Science TeachMeets

It is an informal and enjoyable gathering of those curious about teaching and learning. Anyone can share great ideas they've trialled in their classrooms, a teaching resource they love, a great website, a classroom activity - whatever you like! You can ask questions or simply turn up to soak up all the great ideas and enthusiasm. It is about being engaged and inspired by our immediate colleague

What Are TeachMeets? They are informal events for local teachers to share their innovative teaching ideas. They usually take place on a week day afternoon at a local school and tend to attract sparky, innovative teachers. There is a wiki where you can find a TeachMeet near you. You can sign up by logging in and editing the wiki. You are invited to put your name down for a 7-minute ‘micro’ presentation or a 2-minute ‘nano’ presentation. Of course, you are always welcome to come along and ‘lurk’ without doing a presentation.
