What is the event?

This is a guided discussion on AI in Education, a chance to hear how others are using it in their planning, assessment and teaching. Share your top tips, or things to avoid. This is a chance to learn about how other practitioners are using AI, giving you ideas on how it could be incorporated into your practice.

Who is the event for?

This is for all teachers who are keen to explore AI in education. This will be useful for teachers of all phases and at all stages of their career.

Who is leading this event?

The Session will be led by Junior Walker and Dr Andy Markwick. Junior Walker has 19 years’ experience in education. This includes 13 years working in a Primary setting as Head of Computing and Head of Maths. He has also worked in colleges and pupil referral units. He has mentored multiple trainees and is currently working as a University Supervision Tutor.

Andy Markwick taught in both primary and secondary London schools for more than 38 years. He was an AST for most of this time, focusing on science pedagogy.  He was also in school leadership for 27 years. He now leads the MA level science and Learning and |Teaching modules at the IOE (UCL).

Logistics

Online via Zoom. As a networking event we encourage contributions from participants and hope to have discussions. This is not only a chance to share knowledge and experience, but also to network with fellow practitioners. Where possible please attend with a working microphone. If that’s not possible you can always contribute via that chat. We appreciate it’s not always possible to make live contributions and you may just listen in, but the more who are able to contribute, the richer the discussion for everyone.

Cost

Free to ASE members.

£12.50 non- ASE members
