What is this and who is it for?

Secondary school chemistry courses cover many areas directly relevant to the climate crisis, but there are many opportunities which are less obvious. In this session, Tom Heaton (Climate Action Advisor for Let’s Go Zero) highlights how climate science and sustainability examples can enhance curriculum intent and implementation.

Outcomes

By the end of the session you will:

  • Discover existing good practice in your setting that can link to a whole-school sustainability strategy
  • Learn where there are more opportunities for climate and sustainability questioning and examples
  • Take away practical questioning ideas based on existing chemistry specifications
  •

Session information

This session will contain a presentation, an activity, Q+A and chances for discussion.
