What is the event?
This is part of our ‘New to Science Teaching’ series, a series of webinars to help those of you new to the profession, new to teaching in the UK or anyone looking for a refresher. The series explores a number of key areas in teaching secondary science, where experienced practitioners will share their expertise to give you some top tips to help you get started. This session will specifically look at Curriculum planning and adaptation. This is an essential part of lesson planning, looking carefully at the curriculum and considering how you will make this engaging and accessible to all learners, whilst ensuring you continue to develop skills and challenge them. It’s a skill that develops as your career progresses, Alison Ackroyd will share her expertise and experience from having taught the secondary science curriculum to a range of students.

This is event will mostly benefit those who are new to teaching secondary science, new to teaching in the UK or those who may have been teaching a while, or those who would like to refresh their skills in delivering practical lessons.
