Presentation by Dr Mandy Hartley

The AGM will begin with a presentation, from Dr Mandy Hartley – founder of The Little Story Telling Company (https://www.thelittlestorytellingcompany.co.uk).

Dr Hartley is a geneticist and is passionate about science, storytelling and working with children. Dr Hartley has written a series of books for seven to twelve-year-olds called ‘The DNA Detectives’ which is followed by a title for each book in the series. The first book is called “The DNA Detectives – To catch a thief”, the second is called “The DNA Detectives – The smuggler’s daughter”.  The Little Story Telling Company also presents podcasts and a range of interactive workshops: from DNA Detectives to Rockets and Planets workshop.

This talk will be of interest to both teachers (primary & secondary science), technicians and PGCE students.
