Primary Network Events
Our Primary Network 30 minute sessions will run throughout the year, focusing on Primary Science Skills and Primary Science in Practice.

Our Primary Network is a termly online get-together for everyone involved in teaching and supporting primary science.
In just 30 minutes, you’ll have the chance to:
- Explore a theme in primary science teaching
- Discuss ready-to-use resources
- Exchange ideas and tips with colleagues
- Build connections in a supportive community
The sessions are informal and welcoming. They’re ideal for:
- Trainee teachers who want to build confidence and feel part of the science education community
- Early career teachers looking for practical strategies and fresh ideas
- Experienced teachers who want to share good practice and stay connected
- Subject leaders and coordinators seeking inspiration to take back to their teams
Led by ASE’s Primary Committee, the Primary Network is designed with the busy teacher in mind: short, practical, and full of ideas you can use straight away.
The themes complement our Primary Science journal (free with ASE membership) and draw on ASE’s wide range of resources and partnerships. We also invite guest speakers to share their expertise and spark discussion.
Come along, join the conversation, and be part of a supportive community of primary science educators.
