Welcome to November SSR* (Issue 392). We are excited to share with you the latest edition (members will need to login to access).

SSR is now available as a member benefit (members have a choice of either SSR or Primary Science), so please do check your journal preferences if you are a member and want to have access to SSR.

SSR in Practice: With the Government in England carrying out a Curriculum and Assessment Review, the theme of curriculum is very topical. In this issue of SSR in Practice, our writers explore what we should teach and why. If you are looking for things to try out in the classroom, there are a range of articles that might interest you in this issue, including Jon Hale's practical approach to using teabags to investigate decay and decomposition.

SSR in Depth: In this issue of SSR in Depth, Mark Whalley explores the reasons why physics teachers have left the profession. In two companion articles, Simon Colebrooke and Zoë Thorn share insights into how they have designed their scheme of work for A-level chemistry. And Ran Peleg, Carys Hughes and Marcus Grace explore how escape room activities can be used to support outdoor science activities.

*School Science Review (SSR) is ASE's journal aimed at those working in 11-19 science education both in the UK and internationally, including new and experienced teachers, teacher trainees, teacher educators, school leaders and Heads of Department, advisers, consultants and technicians.
