There may also be opportunities to support our Conference Organising Group, Health and Safety and Quality and Assurance Committees, so please do apply if you have an interest in these areas.
We are keen to hear from as wide a range of our membership as possible, whether new to ASE or a long-time member, new to science education or just looking to add something to your professional experience. Our deadline falls just after national volunteering week, on Sunday 7th June 2026 for positions starting from 1st August 2026. Periods of office are for up to three years.
You can read more about each committee, including terms of reference and also view our explainer video from the link below.
Serving on the Policy Group has been an immensely rewarding experience. It has given me the opportunity to collaborate with colleagues from a wide range of professional backgrounds, to deepen my understanding of complex policy issues, and to contribute to the development of carefully considered, evidence-informed recommendations. I would strongly encourage members to get involved in committees where possible. Such engagement not only broadens one’s perspective but also strengthens our collective capacity to shape impactful policy conversations.
